About Clear Creek Home Improvements

 Do you provide itemized bids?
Clear Creek Home Improvements provides a detailed written proposal describing the work included in the project and the total contract price. We do not provide a breakdown of our internal labor, material, subcontractor, overhead, or profit costs. Allowances, customer selections, and optional work will be identified when applicable.
 How do I get started?
Call Kevin at (682) 789-4122 or complete the contact form. Kevin will discuss your project with you, ask a few initial questions, and determine the appropriate next step, which may include an on-site meeting.
 What areas do you serve?
Clear Creek Home Improvements is based in Poolville and primarily serves Parker County and selected surrounding areas. Whether a project is within our service area depends on its location, size, and scope. Call Kevin at (682) 789-4122 to discuss your project and location.
 What is your cleanup process?
We work to keep the jobsite reasonably clean and organized throughout the project. Construction debris is removed as the work progresses, and the affected work areas receive a final cleanup when the project is completed. Some dust and disruption are unavoidable during remodeling, but we take reasonable steps to protect the home and minimize the inconvenience.
How do you handle unexpected conditions?
Unexpected conditions can sometimes be discovered after demolition or construction begins, including water damage, deteriorated framing, outdated wiring or plumbing, and structural problems. Kevin will explain the condition, the recommended solution, and any effect on the price or schedule. Additional work will be documented and approved before proceeding.
How do you handle change orders?
If the homeowner requests a change or additional work becomes necessary, Kevin will explain the proposed change and its effect on the contract price and schedule. The change will be documented in writing and approved by the homeowner before the additional work proceeds. Any required payment terms will be included in the written change order.
How much will my remodeling or construction project cost?
Every project is different. The cost depends on the size and scope of the work, existing conditions, structural or utility changes, material selections, permits, and the number of trades involved. Clear Creek Home Improvements does not base project pricing on generic online averages. Kevin will review the proposed work and prepare a detailed written proposal based on the specific project and agreed scope.

Bathroom Remodeling

How long does a bathroom remodel take?
The construction schedule depends on the size and scope of the bathroom, material selections, product availability, required inspections, and the number of trades involved. After the project has been reviewed and sufficiently defined, Kevin will discuss the anticipated schedule. Material delays, requested changes, and unexpected conditions can affect the completion date.
How do I choose the right contractor for a bathroom remodel?
Look for a contractor with relevant remodeling experience, proper insurance, strong customer reviews, and references from completed projects. The contractor should provide a detailed written proposal, communicate clearly, and explain who will coordinate the work. Make sure you understand the proposed scope, payment terms, allowances, and how changes will be handled before signing a contract.
What are some common issues or problems that can arise during a bathroom remodel?
Bathroom remodeling can uncover water damage, deteriorated framing, plumbing or electrical problems, improper previous work, structural concerns, or uneven floors and walls. Material delays and requested design changes can also affect the project. When an unexpected condition is discovered, Kevin will explain the problem, discuss the recommended solution, and document any additional work before proceeding.
Can a bathroom remodel improve the value of my home?
A well-planned bathroom remodel can improve the functionality, appearance, and market appeal of a home. The effect on property value depends on the quality of the work, material selections, neighborhood, housing market, and overall condition of the property. A remodel should first meet the homeowner’s needs rather than be based on a guaranteed return on investment.
How can a bathroom be made safer and more accessible?
Accessibility improvements may include a curbless or low-threshold shower, properly installed grab bars, a built-in or folding shower seat, a handheld showerhead, slip-resistant flooring, improved lighting, wider doorways, and a comfort-height toilet. The appropriate features depend on the homeowner’s needs, the existing layout, and the available space.

Kitchen Remodeling

How long does a kitchen remodel take?
The construction schedule depends on the size and scope of the project, material availability, cabinetry and countertop lead times, inspections, and the number of trades involved. Structural changes, requested revisions, and unexpected conditions can also affect the schedule. Kevin will discuss the anticipated timeline after the project has been reviewed and planned.

What common issues should be considered when planning a kitchen remodel?
Kitchen remodeling requires careful planning of the layout, appliance dimensions, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical capacity, lighting, ventilation, and material lead times. Structural changes and hidden conditions may also affect the work. Making major selections early and properly coordinating the trades can help prevent delays and unnecessary changes.
What does a full kitchen remodel include?
A full kitchen remodel may include demolition, layout changes, cabinetry, countertops, appliances, plumbing, electrical work, lighting, flooring, backsplashes, painting, and finish carpentry. Some projects also involve structural wall changes, new windows or doors, ventilation, and utility relocation. The exact scope depends on the existing kitchen and the homeowner’s plans.
Does a kitchen remodel require a permit?
Permit requirements depend on the project location and scope of work. Structural changes and certain plumbing, electrical, gas, or mechanical work may require permits and inspections, while strictly cosmetic work may not. Clear Creek Home Improvements reviews the applicable requirements and includes permit coordination in the project planning when necessary.
